Father and Son's + daughter!

So last weekend was father and son's campout. N8 looks forward to this annual outing for yet another reason to go camping. I think he also looks forward to Ricky's great dutch oven cooking!! Well this year was a little tough. Our little Emma LOVES to go camping and couldn't quite understand why only the boys got to go. So, what's a mom and dad to do?? send her!! Yes, my daughter tagged along on the all male, all father's and son's campout. A few people asked N8 about it and he told them she would quit coming before she turned 12! So, we have a few years.

On Saturday morning she wanted to take a hike, but wasn't satisfied with the one N8 took her on!

N8 doesn't know what kind of hike she was expecting, but oh well!

Bud enjoyed playing in the fire and building dams in the stream.
Oh and picking his nose!!

In other news, Matthew started "solids" this past week. Solids really means pretty soupy rice cereal. He seems to be ok with it!
On Thursday Bud's school did a Language Arts Festival. It was very cute. His class did the alphabet in sign language. My pictures didn't turn out so great of the class doing their thing, but here's a fun one of Bud and his best bud waiting for it to start.

Looks like Emma really enjoyed the Father and Son's outting. Benjamin and Tyler would do great together because fires are his favorite too.

Man! My girls always beg to go. We try so hard to help them understand. Brent always just wants to take them along. Now we can never do it or it will be over run with girls. I'm glad Emma gets to be the rebel of the group.

Those pictures of Emma are classic! I thought Shar took some pictures of our kids so we'll have to find out.

I LOVE N8's answer to the inquiry about Emma being there. Classic! But not as classic as her pics! Hilarious! Sweet kiddos you've got there. :)

Solids already?! Wow, time sure flies by fast. You could tell Emma what my mom always said when we acted like that -- If you keep sticking your lip out like that, a bird will land and poop on it. Uh, yeah, maybe not. ;)
