Will it grow...

For the last few years sometime near the end of February or early March we have a FHE lesson on faith and then begin planting some seeds that will hopefully make there way into our garden as Spring comes. This year was no exception. Hopefully this year we get a better yield!

Where's the baby...

Henry still hasn't found a good sleeping groove. Most mornings he gets up too early for my taste and ends up in bed with mommy. Then he stays a little while after I get up. Our kitty isn't sure about this:

Henry has also decided he likes to grab anything he can and put it in his mouth:

At least he has good taste!

Puzzled...

This past summer I posted about my kids LOVING puzzles. We still have a ton of puzzles but they were not getting used quite as much as they had been. That is until this weekend. Mo and I decided to put together a ton of puzzles checking to see if we were missing any pieces. Here's what we did:

We ended up throwing out a few that were missing a few too many pieces! We worked on this while N8, Emma & Bud worked on winning baby Daisy on Mario Kart. I swear they're obsessed and I have to watch it so that they don't clock too many Mario Kart hours!

The problem with having such a cute baby is....

I can't pass up super cute pj's for him! (It did help that they were on clearance for $2.99!)

Today at his 6 month check up he came in at 20 lbs 7 oz and 27 inches long! I love my chubby little guy!

An apology...

I quick apology for the abrupt move to a private blog. Over the last couple of day something came to my attention that has left me feeling extremely violated. I felt it necessary to protect my family and that meant making my blog private. Honestly, I made the choice in a split second and know it was the right decision. I apologize to anyone that is using a reader since you will no longer see updates. Everything here will now be very much about my family. Anything else-crafty, recipes, etc will exclusively be on my craft blog: ldscraftproject.com.

6 months...

It has been 6 short months since this:

and now we have this on our hands!

In the six months he has:
  • learned to smile
  • learned to laugh
  • roll one way (from his back to his tummy)
  • eat some solid foods (bananas & sweet potatoes seem to be the favorites)
  • cut 2 teeth
  • become a huge fan of the jump-r-roo
  • found his voice (I'm fearing some loud squeals during sacrament meeting are in our future)
  • and has come very close to hitting 20lbs (last week at the doctors office he was 19.7. His official 6 month check isn't until this next week).
We think he is just the cutest thing and I can't even express how much we love him and am grateful that he is a part of our family.
Happy 6 months Henry!

Random...

Just a few random things from the weekend.
Henry is just getting over being sick. Our Ped said he had "mild" RSV. Basically he had a bad cold. There is still some stuffiness/cough in the morning but overall he's doing much better. Just check out this smile!!

On Saturday Mo was determined to build a temple. With a little help from dad, Emma & Bud a Duplo temple was built!

Don't miss the construction worker Moroni on top!

I also worked on Valentines for Emma's class. Bud's class is not doing Valentines and the kids are writing friendship cards instead (I'm not sure what I'll do with the 32 pictures I printed for his Valentines, but oh well.).

I posted a brief tutorial on these over on my craft blog.
